The Grail – the mystery unveiled

The 'Grail' concept dates back to the late 12th century. The word is believed to originate from the Latin gradale by way of the old French term graal, meaning a sacred vessel or cup. The symbolism of the Grail has always been wrapped in mythology and legend, whether in the ancient Celtic links to a sacred vessel or cauldron that offers immortality and wisdom to those who drink from it or the Christian mythology of the cup used by Jesus during the Last Supper, which is said to possess miraculous powers. The symbolism is of something ineffably sublime and is the focal point of deep longing. The Quest for the Holy Grail is a search for a magical cup of enlightenment linked to presentiments of a marvellous experience.

 

In his Work In the Light of Truth – the Grail Message, Abd-ru-shin gives a comprehensive survey of the weaving of Creation together with a full explanation of the self-acting primordial laws that operate uniformly through all the planes of existence, from which the human spirit can recognise the whence and whither of its existence as well as the why. The Holy Grail is revealed to be a sacred Chalice in the Castle of the Grail, which exists at the summit of “Spiritual Creation”, also designated as Primordial Creation, far above the origin of the human spirits.

 

The Grail is shown to be the point of connection between God and His Work of Creation. There is only one Power, which comes from God and descends from the Divine Sphere into Spiritual Creation*. Divinity stands far above all Creation. The Grail Castle is crucial for the reception and distribution of the Divine Power which guarantees the continuance of life. The Chalice is the vital source which receives the full power and abundance of the Divine radiation and which transmits this beneficial life stream in an ever-recurring ministration of indispensable new energy poured out for the maintenance and development of Creation.

The Power flows through all the parts of the cosmos as far down as the gross material planes, and is made available to every creature. Its transformation from plane to plane dispenses light, heat and the impulse to movement. Everything depends on this Power: the continuity and development of Creation, the rich possibilities which are available to all creatures and, obviously, our present and our future evolution. Without the regularly recurring outpouring of God’s Power, which is channelled through the Grail Castle, Creation would cease to exist, and therewith all of space and time, and only God and the Divine Sphere would remain, as it was in the very beginning.

 

This shows that the Holy Grail of the legends is therefore not the cup which Jesus passed round at His last meal with the disciples, and was used later to catch His blood on the Cross!

One fact we can be sure of is that the wisdom governing the cosmic laws in their perfect interweaving to the benefit of each and every creature is far beyond the capability of a human being to survey, let alone harbour. God’s penetrating radiation gave origin to all Creation, starting with Primordial Spiritual Creation at the summit, down through the Paradise of the human spirits far below, to our world here in gross matter as the furthest outpost of Creation. Spiritual power-centres arise in the Primordial Creation from the Divine Volition and like gigantic magnets send out secondary currents to lower-lying parts that unite and uphold Creation in one whole.

 

To maintain a permanent existence of Creation at its inception, the Light- Anchorage for this exists in the Holy Grail, which is enveloped by the Grail Castle, thereby fostering an unbroken connection with Creation. For God not only brought Creation into being through His command: “Let there be Light!” but, to assure the continuity and development of His work, He continually renews the sending of His indispensable Power, which is the source of life. The Holy Grail is thus the point of connection between the Creator and His work. It is through this connection that He regularly dispenses to His Creation the vital energy needed for its sustenance. This recurring outpouring of Divine Power is a cosmic event on a scale which is beyond the comprehension of our intellect and can only be grasped spiritually. We, too, on earth today could consciously experience and gain from this beneficial power stream if we are inwardly open to it by being humbly receptive. All that exists in Creation absolutely depends on this Power for its continued existence. The event reported in the Bible (Acts of the Apostles) of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples of Jesus is generally regarded as a unique and one-and-for-all-time happening. The outpouring of Power, which coincided at that time with the Pentecost as celebrated by the receptive disciples, recurs in Creation from its very beginning and manifests on this earth every year on 30th May.

 

It is the absolutely necessary renewal of Divine Power through the Holy Grail for the whole of Creation. The Power is received by each plane of Creation and then passed on to the lower planes, thus being distributed throughout the Cosmos. Our blood circulation perfectly echoes this mighty happening. Just as the heart circulates life-sustaining, newly energised blood throughout the body, the spiritual power transmitted from the Holy Grail pulsates throughout Creation in an immense perpetual cycle to sustain movement therein and therewith life.

 

Thus the Grail is not just the product of poetic fantasy, nor is it mere myth or a mystical symbol, but it actually exists at inaccessible heights, at the very boundary of the Divine Sphere and Primordial Creation. The Grail Castle, which harbours the Holy Grail, is the eternal location from which the Power of God is transmitted to His Creation. In his Grail Message Abd-ru-shin mediates a knowledge of Creation that is new to us and expands our own knowledge in every field. Here we have all the components for a new World View, granting a deeply moving vision of the awesome majesty and matchless perfection of the Work of God. The whole of Creation is ruled by the omnipotence of the Will of God, which manifests in the unchangeable Cosmic Laws. Man, along with all other creatures, is subject to these laws. Abd-ru-shin even explains why Creation came into existence in the first place and this knowledge has never been given to mankind before.

 

* The Divine Sphere is the region of the direct radiation of God and has therefore existed from all eternity. It is not part of Creation. It is still dependent on God, however, because it only exists because God exists. Creation, on the other hand, only exists because God, through a special act of His Will, brought it into existence. Because Creation lies outside the region of the direct radiation of God, special measures are needed to transform and transmit His living Power so that it can be used by the inhabitants of Creation on their various levels or planes. Hence the need for the Holy Grail as the primary collection and transmission point.
